Westside FC Masters A Wins 2012 Western Canadian Championship

Allowing only one goal in the tournament hosted in Edmonton from September 28th – 30th, 2012 led the club to its first masters national championship … after settling for silver in 2010 in Victoria in the club’s first trip to the Western Canadians.

This title represents Westside’s third championship at the national level after the club won two senior mens national championships in 1993 and 1996 with seven members of the 2012 team.

This title also completes a phenomenal season for Westside FC Masters A as they capture the club’s first ever “quad”, winning the VMSL master premier league title, the masters premier league cup, the O35 BC provincial cup and the western Canadian masters championship going 29 games with only a single loss. Westside came ever so close to its first quad, in open premier, in 2000, with nine members of the 2012 team, but saw it slip away in the dying moments of the national final.
